If you pencilled in the WoW Forever stress test for 19 October, move that marker. Blizzard has shifted it to 21 October, with different start times by region. Updated announcement

When the doors are scheduled to open

Choose your game region first. Each card shows its start in relevant local time zones. Korea, Taiwan and Sydney start on 22 October.

Europe

Central Europe
United Kingdom

Americas / Oceania

Pacific
Eastern
Sydney (Oceania)

Korea

Taiwan

Taiwan (Taipei)

Those regional times come from Blizzard’s news article and its forum update, which explicitly includes Oceania.

One wrinkle worth catching before it escapes into guild chat: the preview card attached to that forum post still mentions 19 October. The updated announcement above it says 21 October, and the revised news article agrees. Trust those updated bodies over the old preview.

How to join

The invitation is unusually easy: any WoW account can join, with no active subscription or beta invite needed. In Battle.net, select World of Warcraft, open Game Version, then look under In Development for World of Warcraft: Forever Stress Test. Install that version, and choose an available test realm once the session opens. Joining instructions

Bring a disposable hero

Go in with a disposable adventurer. The test ends with a wipe of its characters, names and guilds, so this won’t bank your launch name. Blizzard says it’ll run for a few hours, with the window able to change. Test details · Wipe and timing details

A good mission for the session: roll the class you keep talking yourself out of, recruit a mate and see where you end up. Resist the urge to spend the whole session perfecting a name that’s headed for the bin. There’s something appealing about a character whose entire career can be one ridiculous outing.

Check the updated announcement again before you log in. Then bring your most expendable hero.
