The author's released v1.3.0 file, dated 21 October 2026, lists Forever 1.60.1. That's a beta-version listing, not a promise that it will work unchanged at launch. I haven't tested it in game.

Start with the effect you need

Open Esc > Options > AddOns > Forever Loot Sparkles. The Show quest item sparkles option keeps the game's loot sparkle enabled by switching outline mode off. According to the author's description, graphics presets can change that setting again; the addon reapplies it and waits until combat ends when necessary.

Herbs and ore use a separate effect. They highlight the nearby object selected by the game's soft targeting, not every resource in the area. Leave those options off if you only want help spotting quest objects.

The 1.3.0 release also adds a corpse-loot option. Don't assume an older screenshot shows every checkbox in the version you've installed.

Check for a conflict first

The author warns against running Lueur alongside this addon because both change the same soft-targeting settings. Choose one rather than stacking them.

Undo the changes before removing it

Untick all the addon's options, including Corpses with loot, before disabling it. Simply disabling the addon doesn't reverse the console settings WoW has saved. Restart the game after turning quest-item sparkles off; /reload isn't enough for that change.

If you've already disabled it, the author's recovery instructions for quest-item sparkles are to choose a graphics preset again, then restart. That doesn't guarantee that your previous custom settings or the addon's separate soft-target settings have returned.

These instructions describe the author's settings and reversal steps, not a tested fix for every visibility problem. For quest markers rather than world-object visibility, see the addon guide.
