A player asking whether gear is getting a full redo also wondered what Onyxia might mean for raid progression. The item changes are confirmed; a complete raid shopping list is not.
What has changed?
Blizzard's Deep Dive recap confirms that spell, melee and ranged hit share one stat, and critical chance works the same way. Weapon-skill items give less skill per item. Bonus healing also supplies one-third as much bonus damage.
The changes extend beyond stats. Blizzard says it reviewed every dungeon drop, added hundreds of drops and expanded quest rewards. Familiar items can still exist without making an old recommendation reliable.
Before you plan a farming route
Check that the guide names Forever, rather than Classic Era or another version. Then compare its recommendation with the actual Forever item tooltip and your intended role. A healer's questing weapon and a dungeon-healing upgrade don't have to be the same choice.
If the author hasn't verified the item, keep it as a possibility rather than building your whole route around it. Avoid buying materials or committing a group to repeated runs solely because an older list ranks the item highly.
For dungeon rewards tied to quests, check the chain before you travel. Finding a promising reward doesn't mean the relevant quest is ready to pick up at the entrance.
Does Onyxia tell us what the raid gear will be?
No. Blizzard's raid overview confirms the first raids open on 9 December and explains their sizes and attunement requirements. It doesn't provide a complete loot table or confirm a raid-tier progression.
The level-60 preview covers that confirmed raid preparation. Keep exact loot predictions separate until there's a source for the item itself.
