This reference follows Blizzard’s class previews and later beta notes. It covers documented compatibility rather than ranking the best consumable for a build.

The confirmed weapon combinations

Blizzard describes these pairings in the Rogue and Warlock deep dive and the Mage and Shaman deep dive.

Windfury Weapon and Windfury Totem have different rules

Windfury Weapon is the Shaman’s own imbue. Windfury Totem is now a buff rather than a weapon enchantment. Flametongue Totem has the same change.

There are explicit exceptions for the Shaman: Windfury Weapon prevents benefit from Windfury Totem, and Flametongue Weapon prevents benefit from Flametongue Totem. These exceptions are separate from the confirmed crafted-enchantment combinations. Source: Blizzard’s Shaman preview.

Use the later totem rules

The older Shaman preview says Grace of Air conflicts with Windfury. Blizzard’s later beta notes change that rule:

  • Grace of Air can coexist with Windfury Totem or Flametongue Totem.
  • Windfury Totem and Flametongue Totem still exclude each other.
  • Those three totems and Strength of Earth are raid-wide.
  • Windfury and Flametongue Totems affect players only.

Before buying supplies

Choose the class effect first, then check the crafted item’s current tooltip and weapon requirements. The table confirms class effects alongside crafted enchantments; it doesn’t establish that two different stones or both Warlock imbues work together.

For totems, buff compatibility doesn’t establish that one Shaman can place two air totems simultaneously. The wider group-buff decisions are covered in the class-role guide.

These are Blizzard’s documented beta rules, not combinations I’ve tested in game.
