The older discussion about tiny quest text includes a useful distinction: making a quest's story readable isn't the same job as enlarging the map or objective tracker. Pick the part that's bothering you before changing your layout.
Change the text size
The size carries across your characters. The documented areas include quest-giver screens, NPC dialogue and world-map quest details. This isn't a promise to resize every part of the map or HUD.
The author's current instructions give several controls:
- Open Esc > Options > AddOns > Parchmint and use the Quest text size slider, from 10 to 30.
- Hold Ctrl and scroll over quest text or NPC dialogue to change it one point at a time.
- Hover over the quest or NPC window to reveal A- and A+ buttons.
- Type /parchmint 18 to set a specific size. Use /parchmint reset to restore the game's normal size.
Check the Forever version first
The listing identifies Parchmint 1.1.1 for Forever 1.60.1, dated 13 October 2026. Check its current Forever file before installing. I haven't tested it in-game, and that listing doesn't establish compatibility with every later build or controller setup.
For a separate quest-log window or narrated dialogue, see my earlier addon article. If the gamepad layout itself is the problem, start with the controller settings checklist.
