THE JOURNAL NAME RESERVATION DAY

My launch lineup

Today is name reservation day, so I can get my WoW Forever characters ready ahead of launch. I’m going with a Gnome Warrior, a Dwarf Paladin and a Night Elf Druid. The Warrior is getting the first turn. I used to have so much fun playing one, and that’s what’s pulling me back. There’s plenty of time for the other two, but this is the class I want to start with.

And honestly, there’s nothing better than a tiny Gnome tanking a massive boss. I’m picturing something that could practically step over me, and there I am: a little pink-haired bloke insisting it should be hitting me instead of anyone else. The size difference alone makes the choice worth it.

I’m leaning towards Protection, but I’d be happy to go Fury and dish out some serious DPS to the mobs standing in my way, too.

My beta Paladin has had his goodbye, but he’s still close to my heart. That’s why there’s a Dwarf Paladin in this lineup as well.

I’ve never played a Night Elf before, so a Night Elf Druid felt like an easy choice. I get to learn more about the Night Elves and have a class that can tank, DPS or heal, depending on what’s needed. That flexibility is a big part of the appeal for me as a dad gamer.

But next up: the little guy!
